TEA SERVICE and TRAY In 1958 Mellor's 'Pride' tea service won
the Design Centre Awards given by the Council of Industrial
Design. Made in both sterling sterling silver & silver plate initially
by Walker & Hall and from 1965 by Elkington. This example
made by Elkington in silver plate with nylon handles. The tray
in sterling silver by Walker & Hall. Sheffield 1961.

In 1964 Labour won the election and cancelled the order.
Mellor sold the design exclusively through Harrods, but

handles to the tea and hot water pots. Made by Elkington &
Co. Sheffield 1965-9.

are hand forged with the exception of the knife handles which
