CENTREPIECE and FRUIT DISHES. The dishes were acquired in 2003, the centrepiece in 2007 thus reuniting the gift of Lord Blackford to Guardian Assurance of which he was a former chairman. The cover of the centrepiece bears an inscription to this effect. Bringing pieces back together is one of the joys of collecting.

TEA SERVICE with four pieces. Made by Mappin & Webb to Eric Clement's design. Known as the Clements pattern, it was produced in both sterling silver and plate from 1960 into the 1990's. Sheffield 1961/2/4. Height of the coffee pot 18.5cm, total all-in weight 1935.8 grams

CAFÉ AU LAIT SERVICE made by Elikngton & Co to Clement's design. The design is identical to the Clements pattern producd by Mappin & Webb. Sheffield 1966/9. The height of the milk coffee pot is 11.7cm, total all-in weight 1385 grams
